Jazz club

The club is small. Crowded to hear the band playing the night I attended. I thought the acoustics very good, the mix excellent, the band average. At least I'd heard none of the songs before. In the 60s and 70s someone would drop some acid into their drinks.

Such a good night! Upbeat and friendly band players, played Brazilian music just my mum said we are from Brazil. That was such a lovely gesture. Nice venue, quite intimate.BYO.

This place has a vibe, and it's old school.But does that mean we can't have the creature comforts of modern day life?I went upstairs to use the male toilets and the place was an oven, I had to open all the windows as the staff had left them closed all day during a 38° dayMaybe install some air con?And the seats are really uncomfortable, and for a place that looks down on people getting off their seat to dance, they should improve the comfort of the seats.Apart from that it's a cool venue, really laid back but with a serious vibe, which is fun.Sound is amazing, props to the crew behind the equipment.Great venue, just needs some tweaks when it's a hot day.

First time visitors and absolutely loved it the music was top class and the venue amazing, it is BYO food and drink, we took a curry from our local and a few beers and danced the night away, will definitely be returning for another awesome night of entertainment.

Little hidden gem in central Joondalup. Risq have nailed the design so that you can drink in a classy establishment, but without the stuffy, pretentious vibes you can get sometimes. Staff/owners are friendly, drink selection covers most tastes and the music selection (motown, soul, R&B) makes this a great place to enjoy a beverage or 8

Wow,what an evening this is a must visit if you love your Jazz music. I would highly recommend this place to come and enjoy your evening and jazz experience

I hadn't been for a while.Last week stopped by at the last minute.Incredible performers. (Julianna bosa nova That night)Acoustics-fantastic!Greeted at the door.Could they be more welcoming. Bar staff, efficient and helpful, super friendly. Wait staff managing to weave their way through the crowd with the delicious food.Listening to the velvet tones washing over me.Sipped a glass of Barossa Shiraz.Every drop like nectar...It doesn't get much better.Anywhere!

I am here at the jazz club Sat 22 April for the Brazilian samba night. Got here 12.40am and there was a person leaving. I offered to pay the full ticket price of $20 but the Asian lady at the door refused and said no. I was happy to support the musicians even though less than 30 mins left.The doorman was lovely - he went to ask the Asian lady manager who told him no. Even while I was waiting for 15 mins another 10 people left.Doesn’t make sense at all.Anyway from the outside the musicians looked greatEdit: owner replied saying that it was due to people upstairs leaving vs downstairs and this was explainedFirst - not true on her talking to me. The doorman said the already talked to the Asian lady manager, and I cannot talk to her to understand why. He also told me he doesn’t know why she is not letting people inSecondly - I can see from outside into inside, and there are people leaving. There were two guys who came out from the samba dance floor! Anyway - this is more to let the owner know that the Asian lady manager seems terrible and obnoxious, not experienced. Refused to talk to the customersThe doorman seemed helpless but at least he tried

This is a must-have experience, such a fun jazz band and everyone was dancing! So so lovely I highly recommend !! It's BYOB and you need a reservation for a table!
